why does this country continue to reward bad behavior?

it seems more reasonable to let poorly run sick and weak banks and businesses die and allow better run banks and businesses to grow.

no good crop can ever be harvested in weed choked fields. the whole concept of bail-out is insane and contrary to any sensible economic system. i don't care if the japanese did it in the nineties. it is still insane and their financial institutions are not out of the woods either. the whole thing gives me no reassurance that the top business minds of this nation can only come up with the idea of throwing trainloads of cash in front of an erupting volcano to stop the magma from reaching us. and helping these crooks out is the last straw for this bear.

Thanks for all your comments. I'm not quite sure what Brueggeman has accomplished except pandering to the extreme left - he only capitulates to the left and the left never moves to the right side on the republicans are the ones that move. Brueggeman ran as a republican just to get elected in the district. If he lived in Missoula he would run as a democrat.

I have posted links in the Great Falls Tribune about this series of posts and am immediately attacked as a rascist. Since no one knows what race I am , I find this interesting as well as disturbing. It seems to mirror the situation at the national level where any questioning of Obama will automatically get you branded a rascist. I wish someone would publish a list of people whose integrity can't be questioned without the "R" bomb being dropped.
Keep up the good work. The voters of Glacier County deserve a fair, impartial, and civil election. Maybe this will shed a little light on we have had in the past.

I am kind of suprised you guys would be critical of Senator Brueggeman's effort to build a party that understands the need to actually talk to the "other side".

Nothing will be accomplished if we, the republican party, don't make efforts to build relationships and alliances with those in the opposite party. Isn't that exactly the message McCain is running on?

What Sen. Brueggeman has accomplished in his short political career is more than any of his party counter parts who stand so far to the right they can accomplish exactly nothing.

As long as Sen. Brueggeman is a republican I know there is a place for me and that we can actually, once again, be the party that get's it done, even if it means working with the other side of the aisle, heck, especially if it means working together. That's what Montanan's want, unless we do we'll have the Brian's of the state ruling it forever.

[...] Since former Representative and Forward Montana employee Kevin Fury is married to Brian Schweitzer’s press secretary, Sara Elliott, we need to have all the phone records and emails opened up for the last four years…it just seems like the ties run pretty deep. Governor Brian Schweitzer promised open government and delivered nothing except hiring several sitting Legislators (Kevin Furey, Eve Franklin, Sam Kitzenberg and Mike Cooney as well as many others) for cushy government jobs, committing electioneering-voter fraud and intimidating legislators and others to get his way. Keep your promise and OPEN GOVERNMENT NOW and quite taking government Junkets!!!! Relax. I'm approving comments as quickly as possible. I have no interest in silencing your (very intelligent and thoughtful?) comments.

So I just thought it might be worth pointing out that those first two pictures are from a non-partisan candidate forum, at which there were other Republicans. Is Sen. Brueggeman not permitted to attend candidate forums now, because they're put on by an organization you don't agree with?

As it happens, I know when and where these pictures were taken, because I took them. While I happily provided them to Forward Montana for their use, I am not at all sure how you got them. Did someone at Forward Montana give you permission to use them? I know I didn't.

Classy.
